CHILDREN are giving grown-ups lessons in crime-fighting.
Judges were impressed with the quality of posters and crime prevention slogans entered into a competition by the youngsters.
The work, by Middlesbrough pupils attending Breckon Hill Primary and Ayresome Junior School, will be included in a 2003 safety calendar.
About 1,500 copies of the calendar are being printed, giving tips on checking the identity of callers at the door, window locks, safeguarding valuables and home security.
Sixteen children will be treated by Middlesbrough Council to a free session on the open-air ice rink in Victoria Gardens as a thank-you.
