PUBGOERS got more than they bargained for when they dropped into their local for a quiet drink on Saturday and were greeted by one of Emmerdale's barmaids.
Emily Symons, who plays Louise in the soap, was behind the bar at the Annandale Hotel, in Skelton, for a charity event.
The former Home and Away actress signed photos, served punters, and posed for pictures in her hour-and-a-half visit to the pub.
The evening, organised by drinks firm Britvic, raised £800 for leukaemia charity The Daniel Moutrey Memorial fund.
Licensee Denise Fraser said: "It was an absolutely fantastic night and the bar was packed. Emmerdale is really popular among our regulars and many of them dressed up as characters from the soap to welcome our celebrity.
"Emily was a real star and a natural behind the bar, chatting away to all the customers. We raised £800 from signed photos and a raffle, which included a digital camera."
The pub won a competition to have a celebrity barmaid at their Christmas party.
