The leadership could change hands today if leaders Stokesley SC fail to win at third from top New Marske.

Only two points separate the sides with Birtley Town in second position, a point off the leaders.

Stokesley could include fit-again Ricky Farrell, who has played a couple of matches in the Teesside league. Also available from work commitments is Neil Southall.

New Marske secretary Peter Livingstone accepts that his side faces a tough task.

"Stokesley are going well but we have also hit form recently and a good game is in prospect. The prize for us is the possibility of moving into pole position for the first time this season," said Livingstone, who anticipates having a full squad.

Birtley Town host Annfield Plain with doubts surrounding the availability of Anthony Cosgrove and Carl Pennington but Andrew Lumsden comes into contention.

Despite losing their last three league games, as well as three cup ties, Boldon CA are still fourth equal on points with Wolviston.

Manager Norman Hunter reports that Mark Williams, Wayne Brown, Stephen Jary and influential captain Stuart Pattison are still sidelined. There is better news concerning Stephen Williams and Craig Rolph, who are both expected to play.

North Shields are considerably stronger with the return of Paul Ross, Roy Gordon, Dominic Graham and Ian Dugdale. Boss Wilf Keilty will choose between Simon Bradford and David Hodgson for the goalkeeper's jersey.

Wolviston visit Ferryhill Athletic minus striker Robbie Shaw, who has decided to rejoin Teesside League outfit Thornaby Youth Club. Ferryhill have Mark Foster back from injury but Micky Sander is doubtful. Manager Mark Fanning is hopeful of making three new signings to strengthen his squad.

Darlington RA include Rob Morley, who has missed most of the season, Phil Sweet and Stephen Bell for the visit to Harton and Westoe, who will surely miss striker Michael Meek. It is anticipated that Wayne Goodwin will be available.

Cleadon SC are definitely without the injured Chris Bailey but are more hopeful of Dave Watson passing a late fitness test for the home game with Stanley United.

Ryhope CW make the long journey to Windscale unable to include Neil Johnson, Paul Wardle and Chris Wilson, but new signing, junior Kevin Berry, is added to the squad.
