THE North-East's favourite cartoon couple, Horace & Doris, have served up a Christmas treat - their very own book.
Hen-pecked Horace and irrepressible Doris have become a much-loved daily feature of The Northern Echo. Fans have bombarded us with requests to produce a Horace & Doris book - and now it's here.
Sadly, cartoonist John Morris died two years ago after losing a fight against cancer.
But his cartoon creations have lived on in The Northern Echo and, thanks to a stockpile of unpublished drawings, will continue to do so.
Horace & Doris's marital strife is captured in a 100-page book published by The Northern Echo in association with Visual Humour and Northumbria University.
A great stocking filler at £4.99, it is available at The Northern Echo's head office in Priestgate, Darlington. Telephone orders can also be made by calling (01325) 505240 or 505290, with post and packaging costing an extra £1.
