A YOUNG charity champ has raised more than £100 for a children's hospice.
Charlotte Purdham raised £105 with a sponsored bike ride from her home in Bolton Grove, Bishop Auckland, to Hamsterley Forest and back.
The ten-year-old St Anne's Primary School pupil undertook the ride in aid of Butterwick Hospice's children's department.
It is her second fundraising event for the charity, last year she raised over £70 with a walk.
Charlotte said: "I have had friends who have been poorly and needed care so that has probably kept me going."
Her mother, Deborah Dickinson, said: "I am very proud of her, she has been really determined to raise money and help kids less fortunate and not as fit and well as her."
