KIND-hearted Elizabeth Frost has never outgrown her love of Christmas with its lights and decorations.
That is why she has been adding to her display of lights around the house every year.
She has a Father Christmas on a train, reindeer, bears, elves and even fibre optic snowmen - and a collecting box for the Butterwick Hospice, Stockton.
Erecting all the lights at her house in Egton Avenue, Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, has been a three-week-long labour of love, which she is hoping to turn into hard cash for the Butterwick Hospice Appeal, set up by her close friend Mary Butterwick.
Mrs Frost said: "I have always enjoyed Christmas lights since I was very small. I always put them up when I was at home.
"It's really for the children, seeing their faces, seeing them point out different things.
So I thought, 'What better than raise money for the children's hospice?'''
Mrs Frost, who visits Blackpool each year to see the illuminations, has already started buying in lights to extend her display for next Christmas.
"This is the biggest display I have had yet, but it will be bigger and better next Christmas.''
She says she puts so much effort into her Christmas display because there is so much "doom and gloom'' in the rest of the year.
Mrs Frost says her electricity bill "is not too bad''.
Financial advisor Carterbar has given her £100 for the Butterwick appeal.
