MORE than 100 primary school children showed off their acting skills in a delightful Christmas production.
The colourful performance about a little angel proved a tremendous success, as youngsters put on their production for 320 parents, staff and carers.
Head of reception Jemma Bullock was the brains behind the play at Thirsk Community Primary School, involving 109 children aged from four to seven.
She said: "It really has been a magical production which would not have been possible without the dedication of the teachers, parents and children alike.
"Everyone has chipped in to make it a real success, from making costumes to selling raffle tickets."
Headteacher Richard Wild said the children played their parts perfectly.
He said that this year's performance had set the standard for future Christmas shows at the school.
Reception teacher Ruth Chapman added: "The children are absolutely shattered, so much so that in the second show the child representing the turkey fell asleep in the arms of a teacher.
"However, they have all enjoyed it so much, they are already asking about next years."
