I know it's a while back now, but while everyone at the club enjoyed the win over Darlington it was tainted with Gordon Watson suffering a broken leg. It is so sad for Flash, especially with what he has been through before, but I know he will be back scoring goals as soon as he can.

I bet we will see him next month at Bournemouth - it's not too far from his home and as we are on Sky that day. It wouldn't surprise me if Gordon was part of the Sky team in the studio giving his expert opinion.

His absence gives other people a chance to claim a place in the team and I have to say how well Adam Boyd has done in the last week, scoring twice in as many games.

While Boydy is flying, I felt sorry for Peter Enckleman last week - and having made a mistake which led to a goal against Darlington I know just how he felt! But to make things worse for him it was in front of the Sky cameras and in front of 28,000 Birmingham fans as well. But he bounced back well against Everton on Sunday and I'm sure he will get over it and go on to enjoy a good career at Villa.

Another sad thing about that game was the scale of the pitch invasions. It's something I thought was a thing of the past and wouldn't happen these days. It needs strong stewarding and policing to prevent it.

And if people are caught they need banning for life from all football matches up and down the country.
