CHRISTMAS has come early for special school youngsters thanks to a partnership with those in mainstream education.
During the past three years, Durham Trinity School has been involved in a project enabling its pupils to work with children in other schools.
Among the project's activities has been the development of story sacks containing a book and supporting materials. Year ten students from St Leonard's RC Comprehensive School in Durham got involved as part of their design and technology curriculum.
Students made 14 story sacks, which were presented to Durham Trinity School last week.
