PUPILS at a Guisborough school have been busy providing Christmas cheer during a packed programme of charity events.
The children and their teachers began by filling 284 shoe boxes for charity Samaritan's Purse as part of their Operation Christmas Child Appeal, which takes presents to under-privileged children in Eastern Europe.
After that, the school choir spent an evening entertaining shoppers at a late-night opening in the town.
Shortly afterwards, the choir was joined by the school orchestra, a variety of musical ensembles, to provide a concert for a packed audience and £180 was collected for Cancer Research UK.
A few days later the annual senior citizens party took place at the school and 200 guests enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment followed by a festive tea.
John Downs, deputy headteacher, thanked pupils and staff for their efforts and said that, though busy, it had all been great fun
