MUSICAL youngsters dressed as Elves were celebrating the festive season at the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum, in Middlesbrough.
Twenty-five Captain Cook School pupils donned costumes and sang Christmas carols as they took part in a dress rehearsal for their funday this weekend.
"The children have had a wonderful time and are looking forward to doing the real thing on Saturday," said Claire Pounder, Captain Cook Birthplace Museum learning and access officer.
"We have a good relationship with the school and it is nice to do something for them during the Christmas period."
Youngsters aged eight and nine rehearsed renditions of popular carols and met Santa to receive gifts.
Ms Pounder said: "Everything has been donated by local businesses and everyone has been working together well to make it a special day,"
"It has been hard work with Christmas but we have all made an effort and the kids loved it."
The day begins on Saturday at 11am and continues until 3pm.
Entrance is free, but a small charge will be made to those who want to see Santa in his grotto
