A NEW book is on the shelves in Richmond, shedding more light on the market town's rich heritage.
Ralf Waggett has penned a history of Richmond's guilds, including the Mercers, Grocers and Haberdashers. The book was launched at an evening reception at the town hall and about 40 guild members and their guests attended, as well as the Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Stuart Parsons. Copies of the book are available from the town's Castle Hill Bookshop. Pictured are Michael Clayson, Mr Waggett and Jack Hendren at the launch.
