A MUCH-NEEDED revamp of a Harrogate play area has been put on hold until families who use it have had a chance to say what facilities they would like.
The play park, off Luchon Way, which links Hampsthwaite Road and new houses on Coppice Drive, has been in need of a revamp for some time.
However, Harrogate Borough Council has confirmed it has cash to pay for work and wants to hear from residents who may have ideas for new equipment.
Councillor Pat Marsh said: "These improvements are part of an ongoing process to make sure our play areas not only comply with the necessary health and safety regulations, but continue to provide for the needs of youngsters today."
People are invited to attend an exhibition at the nearby Coppice Valley Primary School between 3.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday, January 15. Suppliers will also be present to talk about equipment.
