A VERY familiar face was missing at the organ for the carol service at St Oswald's Church, West Rounton, this Christmas.
For the first time in 74 years, Cissie Harrison was not accompanying the carols.
Mrs Harrison, 92, has spent most of her life in the village. She retired from the position of organist a couple of months ago.
Mrs Harrison, who has taught a number of younger organists, has always kept up with the times and adapted to modern hymns. "Hymn playing has always been my favourite, and I quite like some of the new quicker, joyful tunes," she said.
