LITTLE Alfie Thomas Weighell, pictured left with parents Rachel and Darren, was clearly reluctant to be born on his due date of unlucky Friday, December 13. He decided to wait a further 12 days to be a Christmas baby.
Alfie finally arrived at 4.30 am at Darlington Memorial Hospital weighing 8lbs 8oz, much to the relief of Rachel, 21, and Darren, 34.
Mrs Weighell of Lynton Gardens, Darlington, said: "My whole family said the baby would come on Christmas Day but they said it would be a girl, so they only got it half right!"
