WALKERS are being invited to blow away the cobwebs on an eight-mile ramble this weekend.
The coastal walk between the piers at Roker in Sunderland and South Shields takes place on Sunday, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
There will be free transport from South Shields back to Sunderland.
It will be led by National Trust head warden Peter Collins and Sunderland City Council voluntary countryside rangers.
The walk is free but places should be booked on 0191-553 1555 so that transport can be arranged.
