A ROOFTOP garden where office workers will have unrivalled views across Harrogate will be included in the town's new 132ft-high pyramid business property.
Officially known as The Inspire, the distinctive glass building is already being dubbed "the Pyramid" because of its shape.
With the foundations in place, work starts next week on creating the pyramid, which is aimed to be the pinnacle of the booming Hornbeam business park.
The site has its own railway station, known as Hornbeam Park, on the Leeds-Harrogate-York line.
Chris Robbins, of Harrogate's Robbins Associates, which is marketing the Inspire, successfully sold a similar structure near Stockport, Lancashire, alongside the M60.
The five-storey Harrogate version's roof terrace will be enclosed by glass. The building will cover 1.2 acres, featuring a large lawned area at ground level.
Work is expected to be completed by September.
Even before it dominates the skyline, the scrutinising eyes of Harrogate Civic Society has given the building a warm welcome. Chairman Lilian Mina believes it will be a "stunning" addition to the town centre's skyline.
