A THEATRE group is celebrating its silver anniversary by staging a special show.
Dryburn Theatrical Workshop is staging Jack and the Beanstalk to celebrate its 25th year of performing pantomimes in Durham and Chester-le-Street.
The group was started in 1977 by NHS staff working at the old Dryburn Hospital, now the University Hospital of North Durham.
Members of the 30-strong cast include Alan Oliver, who plays the giant, Malcolm Quinn, the dame, and the princess is played by Karen Scott.
Performances are taking place at Park View Theatre Complex, in Chester-le-Street, from January 7-10, and tickets are available by calling (0191) 388 9709
