A DRAMA school is looking forward to the first classes of the New Year after coming through the risks of its first term with flying colours.
Sinead Brennan and husband Daniel Coll are no strangers to stage and screen.
In panto at the moment in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, between them they have had roles in Coronation Street, Heartbeat, The Rocky Horror Show and Hollywood blockbuster Braveheart.
However, Sinead admits she was more nervous when they launched their stage school at Risedale Community College, in Catterick Garrison, in September, especially as they had to commute from their home in West Yorkshire to take lessons.
With dance and singing teachers to pay, it could all have been very difficult if there was no interest from local children.
But, after just a few months, the senior class is almost fully subscribed while numbers are healthy in lessons for both the middle and junior pupils.
"However, we still have room for more and we would love to hear from any children who would like to join us," said Sinead.
As well as lessons in dance, singing and acting, the school will be working towards its debut production, to be staged at the Zetland Christian Community Centre, in Richmond, in July.
Success so far has even prompted the couple to begin house-hunting in the Richmond area.
Sinead admits that a second school is something she would like to develop in the future.
In the meantime, anyone who would like to join the classes at Risedale College from next Saturday, can telephone (01422) 207399.
