THE fishing village of Staithes, on the North Yorkshire coast, is to get a £105,000 facelift.
Work starts later this month to provide ornamental railings and street lights, cobble Church Street and Seaton Garth, improve the stone steps leading from the harbour to the beach, renovate harbour wall seating and provide public toilets.
The work is part of the Spirit of Staithes project, funded by the Government and Scarborough Council.
