A ONE-stop shop for more than 90 council services has won an award.
Newcastle City Council's first customer service centre, based at the Sandyford Road entrance to the Civic Centre, has won the Government's Charter Mark for customer service excellence.
Designed as a centralised service delivery point to replace 13 different receptions, it was opened in July 2000 as part of the council's aim to improve the quality and accessibility of its services.
The award was based on ten stringent criteria.
