PLANS for a new pub in Newton Aycliffe look likely to be approved this week.
Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries has applied for planning permission to Sedgefield Borough Council to build a pub in the Cobblers Hall housing development.
The building, which would also include a restaurant, is earmarked for the junction of Burnhill Way and Burn Lane. The development would provide five full-time and 25 part-time jobs.
The pub would form part of the Cobblers Hall village centre, which gained planning approval in September.
Members of Sedgefield council's development control committee will consider the application on Friday.
Officers are recommending its approval.
