Charities and community groups in the region could get a £2,000 boost under a by chartered accountants' scheme to reward voluntary work.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants' 2,900 members in the North-East and Cumbria have until next Wednesday to nominate their local project for the annual Everybody Counts awards.
Run jointly by the institute and Accountancy Age magazine, the scheme recognises the voluntary work of chartered accountants around the country.
