PROCEEDS from a city's first tattoo party were donated to charity yesterday.
Louise Wilson, of the NSPCC, received a cheque for £594.50 raised by the event, held at Durham Students Union Building in November.
Organised by the Artful Ink Tattoo Studio, in Bowburn, it saw 15 world-class artists tattooing members of the public.
There were also raffles, auctions and competitions and a band.
Joni Cooke, of Artful Ink, said: "It was really good and very well attended.
"We are having another one later this year."
