A COUNTRY music night could hit the right note for charity.
Line dancing instructor Paul Badrick, better known as PJ, is holding the event tonight at Pelton RAOB, near Chester-le-Street.
It features the duo Diamond Jack, from Preston, Lancashire, and proceeds will go to the Myasthenia Gravis Association, the charity dedicated to the auto-immune disease which leads to muscle wasting.
Mr Badrick, of Newton hall, Durham City, decided to stage the event after taking part in a line dancing recording attempt and auction for the charity.
He said: "It is a country music band that caters mainly for line dancers. They are one of the top bands currently on the circuit.
"There aren't many tickets left, so it would be advisable to ring in advance for them."
The tickets cost £4 and are available from Mr Badrick on (07866) 313470
