TWO organisations have benefited from grants from The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.
More than £2.3m has been given to 15 projects throughout the UK working with disadvantaged young people.
Cleveland Arts, in Middlesbrough, will receive £71, 272 to fund arts projects for young refugees and asylum seekers in the Tees Valley area.
Unite Limited will receive £15,484 to fund a programme for young inmates in Stockton and enable them to explore and develop communication skills, conflict management and media skills.
Dr Andrew Purkis, chief executive of the fund, said: "The fund's support is a New Year message of hope to young people facing massive challenges. They are not alone. With a bit of help now, they have lots to give to society as they grow up."
