SNEAK burglars are still preying on householders in Thirsk.
Despite the good news from the police last week when several offenders were detained, three more break-ins have occurred.
Two of them happened overnight on Tuesday, one in Herriot Way, when an offender reached through a cat-flap and took the house keys. He then entered the property and stole a mobile phone.
In the second, burglars entered by an unsecured rear door at a property in Saxty Way, Sowerby, and stole a handbag and personal organiser.
Sowerby Parochial Church Hall was also burgled. Damage was caused to doors and property was stolen.
Inspector Dai Malyn, of Northallerton, said: "The offenders must be new ones as the ones being dealt with over the New Year are still in custody."
Witnesses are asked to call police on (01609) 789789.
