Coulby Newham 14 v 2 Black Horse - Mark Salvati scored what is almost certainly the fastest hat-trick in the League's history as his side inficted another heavy defeat upon bottom side Black Horse.

Salvati set his stall out in the opening minute by scoring direct from a corner kick and within five minutes he had put Coulby into a 3-0 lead with Salvati hitting all three goals.

Not content with his quickfire hat-trick, the Coulby hit man continued to find the back of the net and by half time had seven goals to his name leaving the Black Horse with a mountain to climb.

Black Horse to their credit had their moments particularly in an opening ten minutes when they responded to Salvati's hat-trick by scoring twice themselves.

Jamie Hornen pulled a goal back in the seventh minute and in their next

attack, Chris Welford reduced the arrears still further.

Mark Sowerby kept the goals coming for Coulby after the break scoring with a bullet header for the first of his hat trick before Richard May added a hat-trick himself.

Kalid Maroof completed Coulby's scoring when he fired home from close range with ten minutes remaining.

St Mary's College 1 v 0 W'man's Arms

In contrast to the Coulby's goal feast the only other goal to be scored last

weekend in the two games that beat the weather was from the College's Glen Bennett.

Showing some good control in difficult conditions, the College had the better of the first half and deservedly took the lead on the half hour when Bennett rounded off a fine build up.

The Woodman's came back into the game in a much more evenly contested second half and might well have produced an equaliser but for a series of fine saves from the College's experienced keeper Malcolm Straker.

Middlesbrough Post Office 0 v 0 Thornaby Village

Their was even less goal action at the Steelworks ground where Post Office had the better of the midfield exchanges but failed to turn possession into goals thanks to some poor finishing and good defending from Thornaby Village.

Stewart Rose went close for the Posties when he was twice put through one on one with the Village keeper but their best chance was five minutes from full time when man of the match Ben Cody picked up the ball on the edge of the area. Cody weaved his way passed two defenders only to see his deflected shot cleared off the Village goal line.
