AN MP met council officers yesterday to try to solve the problem of anti-social behaviour along a footpath.
Dari Taylor, MP for Stockton South has received numerous complaints about the behaviour of youngsters gathering along the Wynde pathway near Darlington Lane, Stockton.
Ms Taylor met with officers from Stockton Borough Council's engineering and transportation division to discuss a number of options, including closing the path.
But Mike Robinson, head of engineering and transportation at the council, said that closing public rights of way was difficult and not all residents would support it. As a result, other options, such as monitoring the area and making access less easy, should be considered.
