The following cases were heard by Darlington magistrates yesterday.
Simon Andrew Johnson, 21, of Hall View Gardens, Howden-le-Wear, Crook, pleaded guilty to driving a car with no insurance and with a defective handbrake, tyre and rear light. Johnson, who was banned for 12 months in October, was disqualified for a further 18 months.
Gavin Collins, 22, of Goodison Way, Darlington, was banned from driving for six months after admitting driving without insurance. He received six penalty points and was fined £140, plus £35 costs.
Factory worker Jason Carr, 32, of Arthur Street, Chilton, was disqualified from driving for six months after pleading guilty to doing 47mph in a 30mph area in Chilton on November 4. He received four penalty points and was fined £140 with £35 costs.
John Joseph Kitching, 19, of Elland Court, Darlington, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition, and without a valid licence, insurance or MoT certificate. He was banned from driving for six months and fined £90 with £35 costs.
Gordon Andre Neave, 24, of Helmsley Moor Way, Darlington, was fined £70 plus £35 costs after admitting driving without a valid licence, insurance or test certificate.
He also received six penalty points on his licence.
Eamon Nugent, 29, of Honister Place, Newton Aycliffe, was given six penalty points and fined £200 with £35 costs after pleading guilty to driving without insurance.
Wayne North, 24, of Nottingham Street, Leeholme, Bishop Auckland, was fined £70 and received six penalty points after he admitted driving with no insurance.
Andrea Carlon, 33, of Richmond Avenue, Bishop Auckland, received four penalty points and was fined £60 plus £35 costs after pleading guilty to a speeding offence on June 8.
Sean Joseph Bell, 19, of Geneva Road, Darlington, pleaded guilty to driving without a test certificate on August 15. He was fined £80 with £35 costs.
David John Haines, 26, of Westmoreland Way, Newton Aycliffe, was fined £160 plus £35 costs after admitting driving without insurance. He also received six penalty points.
Steven Bryce Harris, 23, of Albert Street, Chilton, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid licence and with no insurance in Spennymoor on October 26. He received six penalty points and was fined £75.
Craig Slater, 33, of Fenby Avenue, Darlington, was fined £70 and given six penalty points after admitting driving without insurance.
