A NIGHT out ended in a man punching a nightclub bouncer and then attacking a police officer, a court heard, yesterday.
Simon Ostler, prosecuting, told Harrogate magistrates how Ian Bradley, 22, had been thrown out of Jimmy's nightclub, in King's Road, Harrogate, on November 2, but twice tried to get back in.
Bradley, of Eastbourne Grove, Heworth, York, punched head doorman Steven Hackers on the jaw. When police arrested Bradley he headbutted PC Paul Mendham.
Bradley pleaded guilty to assault on Mr Hackers and the police officer.
Geoffrey Boothby, defending, said Bradley had no recollection of what happened.
Presiding magistrate Jane Garlick called for probation reports to be prepared. He was bailed until February 2.
