A WOMAN has been ordered to pay compensation to a policeman she injured in a late-night incident.
Janet Moseley, 40, of Kitchener Street, Darlington was distressed after she was locked out of her home by her boyfriend, Joseph Holmes.
Darlington magistrates heard that PC Calvert attended her home at 12.40am on November 18 to help her.
Some time later, Mr Holmes arrived with the keys, but Mrs Moseley became angry and upset by his presence.
She shouted obscenities at him and was arrested by PC Calvert, who received a scratch to his arm and a kick to his shoulder during the arrest.
Mrs Moseley, who was of previous good character, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and using threatening and abusive behaviour.
She was ordered to pay £50 compensation.
