The Cleveland Pensioners' Convention Forum, will be holding its annual meeting next Thursday, at 11.30am at the United Reform Church Hall, Station Road, Redcar.
Guest speakers will be president Alan Wright and Michelle O' Rourke, from Redcar, and Cleveland Borough Council trading standards department. All retired people are welcome.

MENCAP MEETING: The Mencap Society of Cleveland's next meeting will be at the Grenfell Club, Redcar, on Saturday, February 1 between 10am and noon. Sue Reeves, carers development worker for Redcar and Cleveland will be present. The topic is Give Carers a Voice. Carers of all ages are invited to take part.
PIANIST VISITS: On Friday, prize-winning Brazilian pianist Eduardo Monteiro will be playing works by Brahms, Albeniz and Prokofiev in the chapel at the 17th Century almshouses at Kirkleatham, Redcar.
HOSPICE APPEAL: Middlesbrough's Teesside Hospice Care Foundation is launching an appeal to raise £210,000 for funds this year.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Home-Start Teesside, which works with young families finding it difficult to cope, whether because of divorce, illness, or loneliness, need parents to be volunteers. A preparation course will start next month. For details, ring (01642) 510811.
HEALTHY LIVING: An 11-week healthy eating and awareness course is to be held every Tuesday at Loftus Youth and Community Centre, Loftus, east Cleveland. For more details, ring 0781 085 2373.
BIKE IT: Adults and children at Laurence Jackson School, in Guisborough, have teamed up to promote cycling. The Guisborough Cycle Initiative meets at the school and campaigns for dedicated cycle paths in the town, particularly in order to provide safe routes to schools.
LIVE MUSIC: Musician Vin Garbutt will hold a concert for Redcar Life Group on Friday, January 31, at the Regency Hotel, Coatham Road, Redcar, from 8pm to 11pm. Tickets cost £7 and are available by calling (01642) 475894.
