ORGANISERS are putting the finishing touches to a reception marking the launch of a support network which has won a galaxy of stars' support.
Timothy West, Rodney Bewes, Edward Fox, Prunella Scales, Patricia Routledge, Tim Healey and Denise Welch are among the actors who have signed up as patrons of the Friends of the Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond.
Entertainer Gary Wilmot and MP William Hague are also among the supporters of the theatre, which is undergoing a £1.3m refurbishment.
However, anyone else who would like to pledge their support is welcome at Richmond Town Hall from 7pm on Friday.
The evening includes speakers who will outline the building's history as well as its plans for the future, once the refurbishment project is completed in May; there will also be an opportunity to discover more about the new Friends of Richmond Theatre.
Meanwhile, the Friends made their first donation this week when a photocopier was given to the theatre's management.
