The county council in North Yorkshire wants people to recycle their old directories as soon as the new ones arrive.
The campaign is supported by the Directory Recycling Scheme, which is sponsored by Yellow Pages. The aim is to collect thousands of old directories and recycle them in special collection banks.

* Hambleton and Richmondshire area at Catterick Bridge, Sowerby, Stokesley, Leeming Bar, Leyburn, Tholthorpe, Northallerton and West Tanfield.
* Scarborough and Ryedale at Malton, Whitby, Norton, Wombleton, Thornton Dale, Mickleby and Seamer Carr.
