POLICE are looking for strong-armed thieves who stole a 250kg headstone.
They took the stone, a display model, from outside Murray Memorials, in Deneburn Terrace, Consett, County Durham, overnight between Wednesday and Thursday last week.
The £700, heart-shaped, black granite stone, is 3ft high and is not engraved. There were about 50 headstones on display at the time, but it was the only item stolen.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Consett police on (01207) 504204.
