On Saturday the Darlington Primary School football team won the Durham County five-a-side football championships at Consett.
The youngsters achieved success winning four and drawing one of their five matches against South Tyneside, Peterlee, Felling, Chester-le-Street and Derwentside.
Manager Tony Cox said: "The youngsters are true role models for the thousands of Darlington children that they represent and they give our town a great image in school sport in Northern England."
Darlington's Nathan Wilson was top scorer in the competition with five goals.
Darlington Primary Schools will also represent North Eastern England in the Northern seven-a-side finals in March.
