Spennymoor manager Jason Ainsley admitted his side deserved to lose against Dunston in the Durham Challenge Cup tie on Tuesday.
Moors were on the end of a shock, the Northern League side winning 3-0 to give them a place in the semi final.
Ainsley said: "Too many players thought we just had to turn up and win, but they had a nightmare.
"The conditions were difficult, with a strong wind and a muddy pitch, but they were the same for both teams. There may be changes for Saturday."
Moors face North Ferriby for the second successive Saturday at the Brewery Field.
It is looking more likely that Tony Lee won't be coming back to Spennymoor, as talks between Lee and owner Benny Mottram have yet to materialise.
Bishop Auckland chairman Terry Jackson, meanwhile, is delighted with manager Brian Honour.
Honour took over three months ago and even though the club is in the thick of a relegation battle, Jackson is delighted so far.
"Brian is turning things around, and we're very pleased with him.
"He's very professional and has got plenty of contacts. We're lucky he became available when he did."
Bishops are at Radcliffe Borough tomorrow, then at Spennymoor in the re-arranged derby on Tuesday. They will then have 17 games left, 13 of which are at home.
Bishops' chances of avoiding relegation have been boosted by the news that fellow strugglers, Eastwood Town, are in financial trouble. A backer has pulled out so may have to release players.
Meanwhile, Bishops' home game against Leek, has been re-arranged for January 25.
