Chester-le-Street Ladies
Playing against Rutherford Ravens, in a match that was switched to Moor Park, both sides had to contend with a heavy pitch.
Their first match since November, Chester opened the scoring through Rachel Furness, with further goals from Rae Taylor and Natalie Gutteridge before Lisa Humphries scored what was to be The Ravens only goal. Kelly Binns hit her first of the season to give the Cestrians a 4-1 half time lead.
The second half saw CLS dominate with further goals from Rachel Furness, Rachel Weightman (2), Laura Gibbon, Rae Taylor, Rachel Young, and the goal of the game from Vikki Ryder.
But for an outstanding performance from the Ravens' keeper, the scoreline could have been much higher than 11-1.
This Sunday, CLS are back in league action at Moor Park, (2pm), as usual, all are welcome.
