Quakers: On Sunday, December 29 a good turnout ran at the Jolly Holly Jog at Ripon.

In extremely muddy conditions Nick Millar finished first for the club finishing 26th overall in a time of 40:13, followed by Graham Park in 27th with a time of 40:15.

Alex Snook and Stephanie Miller both had excellent runs in the Jolly Holly Jog fun run. Alex finished third girl followed closely by Stephanie who finished sixth.

The next Quaker event will be held on Sunday, January 12. Castle Eden Walkway is a series of three handicap races over a 5.5 mile trail race course on public footpaths and bridleways at the Castle Eden Walkway. Race commences at 10.30am. Registration at the Castle Eden Walkway Visitors Centre, near Thorpe Thewles, off the A177. Competitors must be at least 16-years-old on the day of the race.

On Sunday, December 8, Ian and Mike Scott travelled to Scarborough to compete in the undulating Christmas Cracker 10K Road Race. Ian finished 18th out of 265 competitors in a time of 35:44, followed by Mike, 123rd, 46:24.

On Saturday, December 14, Julia Orr had an outstanding run at the North-Eastern Cross Country Championships at Chester-le-Street. Competing in the Under-17/Under-20 Women's race she finished third overall but first in the Under-17 age group to take the championship title with a time of 21:05.

Eleven Quakers competed in the Old Monk Six Multi Terrain Race on Sunday, January 5. In extremely muddy conditions, Keith Richardson finished first for the club and 23rd overall out of 56 competitors in a time of 43:35.

The next Quaker event will be held on Sunday, February 9.
