In the only league game played due to bad weather conditions Brandon Station beat Seaham Mallard winning 8-1 at home.
The game was pretty even in the first half, the only goal scored was in favour of Brandon with an own goal when David Wakefield deflected the ball into his own net from a Brandon corner kick.
John Bell made it 2-0 with an individual effort in 60 minutes.
The Mallard pulled it back five minutes later to 2-1 with a goal from Darren Slee. In 70 minutes John Bell got his second goal to make it 3-1 to Brandon. From the restart Stephen Graham volleyed in number four from 18 yards and Andrew Morris went on to hit a brace - his first a neat chip over the keeper and his second at the far post after a cross from the right. David Ford came on as substitute and hit the seventh, with Colin Woods adding to the tally.
In the Washington Aged Peoples Trophy Hartlepool Town won through to the next round of the competition with a 3-1 home win against Seaham The Duke. They were in the lead after 12 minutes when Chris Birkbeck put a cross in from the right for James Parkinson to head home. The Duke went level with a nice 20 yards volley by Scott Burns after 20 minutes. Two minutes into the second half Hartlepool were in the lead again when Paul Docherty received a pass from Stewart Cooper on the left to prod home. The Duke were unlucky not to get at least three goals in the next 20 minutes having outplayed Hartlepool only to see their goalkeeper Paul Hackwell save three point-blank chances in one-on-one situations.
After 70 minutes Dave Smith hit the third for Hartlepool who were fortunate to see themselves in the next round of the competition.
