A GROUP has been formed to help cyclists in Guisborough enjoy cycle routes and mountain biking.
Laurence Jackson School, in Guisborough, has special sports college status and is looking at a number of similar initiatives. Youngsters and older cyclists have formed the group, Guisborough Cycle Initiative, which includes pupils and staff.
The three pupils involved are Joel Milnes, Matthew Stuart and Philip Wells. The school is hosting its meetings.
The cyclists hope to have designated paths and storage facilities in the town and school. Mountain bike orienteering is starting in the surrounding countryside.
Support for the scheme is also coming from sustainable transport group Sustrans and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
