BELLY DANCING: Chester-le-Street Community Centre has three six-week courses on belly dancing and other Middle Eastern folk dances.
A beginners' class will be held on Tuesday, from 5.45pm to 7pm, followed by an improvers' class between 7.15pm and 8.30pm. A further beginners' class will be held from 4.15pm to 5.30pm next Friday. The cost of each course is £30. More information can be obtained by contacting 0191-388 4752.
WALK AND TALK: Walking to fitness will be Dave Liddle's theme when he addresses Sacriston and District Everyman's Club at 7.30pm, on Tuesday, in the lounge of St John's Court.
GIVING BLOOD: The National Blood Service is holding a donor session from 2.30pm to 7pm, on Monday, at the Red Lion pub, Chester-le-Street.
LACE MAKERS: A meeting of the Northumbrian Lacemakers will be held in the Park View Community Association, Chester-le-Street, from 10am to 5pm, tomorrow.
NEW QUIZ: The Moulders Arms has started quiz contests at 9pm on Wednesdays.
MUSIC NIGHTS: A live music and buskers' night is held at 8pm each Sunday, in the Vigo Inn.
LEADER WANTED: A new assistant guider is needed by the 1st Great Lumley (Christ Church) Guiders.
