A GIRL who fell asleep when she was supposed to be acting as lookout for her burglar boyfriend, kissed him goodbye yesterday when he went to jail.
All was forgiven as Louise Baxter 19, and James Casey, 20, hugged in the dock at Teesside Crown Court.
She had told police she nodded off because she was full of drink and drugs.
The burglary was so traumatic for victim mother-of-three Annette Carter, 33, that she could no longer live in her house in Gloucester Street, Hartlepool, the court heard.
Casey, of Turnbull Street, Hartlepool, was jailed for 18 months, and Baxter, of Chatham Square, also Hartlepool, was given a community rehabilitation order for two years, after they admitted the December 10 burglary.
