POLICE are appealing for information on a series of vehicle thefts and burglaries in Wear Valley over the weekend.
A child's quad bike was taken from the garden of a home in Canterbury Crescent, Willington, overnight on Friday.
On Friday night a Ford Sierra estate car was stolen from Brooklands.
Meanwhile, a Ford Transit van was stolen from Gent Road, both in Bishop Auckland. An Ifor Williams trailer was unhooked from a vehicle parked outside a home in Hallimond Road, in Escomb, and towed away at about lunchtime on Friday.
Through the night on Saturday a Ford Fiesta car was stolen from Teesdale Walk, Bishop Auckland, and a second was taken from The Nursery, in West Auckland.
On Sunday night, a Suzuki Samurai 4x4 was stolen from Walker Drive, in Bishop Auckland, and a house in Emerson Street, Crook, was broken into and a Suzuki quad bike and £30 cash were taken.
Other burglaries include the theft of mobile telephones from a home in Hood Street, St John's Chapel, on Friday night, and a house in Proudfoot Drive, Bishop Auckland, at about 8.30pm on Saturday night.
