A DOZEN charities and welfare groups will be brought under one roof when a one-stop shop opens in Consett.
Consett Churches and Neighbourhood Action (CCANA), is launching the shop in Consett Church Hall, Parliament Street, Consett, on Thursday, January 30.
The scheme will provide people with access to public services and voluntary groups.
Groups that have signed up to the scheme include Age Concern, Mind, Victim Support, the Alzheimer's Society, NECA and the North Eastern Disabled Motorist Club.
Also taking part are Consett Churches Detached Youth Project Derwentside Domestic Violence Forum, Victim Support, Ground Work West Durham, housing charity Shaid and the West Derwentside Community Credit Union.
