STUDENTS will get a chance to sample South African culture when a special guest pays them a visit next month.
Multi-talented artist Raymond Otto is taking his Takalani Tour to Sunnydale School, Shildon, for a three-day visit from Monday, February 24.
Raymond took his drum workshop to the school last year and the visit was such a success pupils are keenly awaiting his return.
His last visit included drumming, singing, cooking and dancing workshops for year nine students.
Parents and primary school pupils will also be able to enjoy the vibrant energy of a Wednesday afternoon performance.
Head of art and design at the school, Frank Hudson, said: "South Africa is home to a vibrant diverse culture, where the air is alive with a variety of music styles, rhythm, dance and colour.
"Raymond's first visit was a wonderful experience, one that went well beyond our expectations, and this time we want to share it with a wider audience.'
