A PARISH council chairman has vowed to lead opposition to a proposed development in a North Yorkshire village.
Keith Hyman, chairman of Huntington Parish Council, said there was real concern about plans for the Birch Park estate.
If approved, 226 apartments would be built behind a Royal Mail depot.
Councillor Hyman said: "The infrastructure and services in Huntington are already experiencing pressure. If this goes ahead, it can only add to that, so there is concern among parish council members and the public."
