ARTISTS from all over the North-East are invited to enter an annual competition.
The Dover Prize promotes art and rewards amateur and professional artists.
Original drawings, paintings, watercolours and prints are permitted. Artists can enter up to three works.
The Dover Prize Art Competition is being organised by Darlington Borough Council and sponsored by Peggy Nonhebel, who funds a charity to promote art through the County Durham Foundation.
Some work will be selected by judges to feature in an exhibition at the Town Hall Gallery, Darlington.
Artists from Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, Durham, Cleveland and North Yorkshire are eligible to enter.
Major prizewinners will be notified by letter, while others will find out at a preview and prize-giving ceremony at the Town Hall Gallery in Darlington. For information or entry forms, ring (01325) 462034.
