DRUGS and stolen goods worth thousands of pounds have been seized in a string of police raids.
In Langley Park, near Durham City, officers raided two houses in Railway Street on Friday evening.
Police from the Lanchester section, backed up by officers from Consett, discovered a mixture of controlled substances with an unknown street value.
A police spokesman said: "Three people - two men and a woman - were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They were questioned and released on police bail while inquiries continue."
Officers also raided two houses in the Ladysmith Court area of south Stanley during the weekend and recovered 46 cannabis plants growing in a loft and spare room.
A further warrant was executed in the east Stanley area, where officers found a quantity of amphetamine sulphate. The raid also turned up a large amount of what detectives believe is stolen property.
They made a total of five arrests. The suspects were all released on police bail pending further inquiries.
